When You Wish Upon A Star...

...Your dreams come true!

Today Kenny and I spent our last day in Paris in Disneyland!

The day started off little rocky. Kenny woke up late, the metro was delayed, and we got a metro ticket as we unknowingly didn't purchase the right ticket...But we didn't let that slow us down and wreck our day. We were after all in France at Disneyland!

We entered the park and the magic began!
We started in Disney Studios because it closes first. Right when we entered it started to rain and we thought that was just an addition to our unfortunate events.

However, we lucked out and for the rest of the day it was clear until it was time to get on the metro home.

We hiked right to the Tower of Terror to get our fast pass and then went to our first ride, Armageddon. We thought it was interesting but not the best.

Right when we got off we saw the Rockin' Roller Coaster and it only had a wait time of ten minutes so we quickly jumped in line. I got a little nervous as to what to expect, but one on the roller coaster I had an amazing time, it wasn't to scary at all. It was in the dark with music playing and cool lights flashing as you went through.

After that we decided to go toward the Toy Story Attractions. We got in line for a toddler ride then realized it was a toddler ride and got in line for the Hot Wheels ride instead. It was also exciting and fun.

Then we thought best grab some lunch before the Tower of Terror, which was a bit risky but don't worry we did fine. On our walk to grab food we saw the Real Buzz Lighter but he had to go save the world before we could get a picture. I did get a picture with a plastic replica though.

After lunch it was time for the Tower of Terror! Both of us were quite scared as usual. But by the end we were both laughing and really enjoyed ourselves.

On our walk to get to the Disneyland Park after the ride we saw Goofy and had to stop to get a photo so we somewhat patiently waited and got such a cute picture with him. Then it was time for Disneyland Park!

We walked in to the park were so excited! We saw a train parade in the distance and tried to catch up. We failed to do so, but ended up right next to the Buzz Lightyear ride. So we grabbed a fast pass because the wait was fifty minutes and we got in line for Space Mountain Mission 2 because the line was only a five minute wait.

That roller coaster was a bit rough. We both exited with a headache. Anaheim has a much more successful mission.

Exiting that ride we saw the Star Tours Ride so we grabbed a fast pass for that as well. Then we moved on to our next attraction, Phantom Mansion. While in line a caught a child who was falling of a banister, I felt as a real life hero. It made the ride that much more special :)).

We then hiked back to do our Star Tours ride. Neither of us knew what to expect so we were nervous! But it was a really easy no stressful ride, though most of it was in French.

After that it was time for Fantasy Land! We rode the Snow White Ride and the Pinocchio ride.

Then we went to get a fast pass for Pirates of the Caribbean, but the wait was five minutes so we decided just to ride it instead!

After that we checked the line for Peter Pan, it was so long but no fast pass was available. We decided to go do Its A Small World instead, because we had to get to the Buzz Lightyear ride soon.

Kenny was amazing at the interactive portion of the Buzz ride. He scored over 300,000 more than me..It was a bit embarrassing actually...

After Buzz we stopped to watch the parade. It was so much fun to see all the characters go by, and we had front line spots so it was an even better then usual!

After the parade we decided we best tackle Peter Pan. I'm so glad we did, it ended up being my favorite ride! It was so wonderful flying over London and seeing the second star to the right =)).

After that we went to the Indiana Jones ride, which is way different here then in Disneyland in Anaheim. Here it was just a roller coaster, but it was pretty fun, not to scary. On our way to the ride we went through the Pirate Isle which was a maze like path. We felt like children running threw it. It was totally worth the extra ten minutes it took to get to Indiana Jones.

After that ride we went get dinner outside of the park. We decided to go to the Rainforest Cafe, where Kenny had never been before. We had amazing food and a great meal that ended just in time for us to get back to the park for the finale firework show.

As usual the show was magical and wonderful in every way. It is amazing to me what Disney is able to do with lights, fireworks, projectors, music, and Disney characters. This was by far the best way I could have ended my travels by far. It was an amazing day.

Paris Take Two

Day two in Paris and couldn't be happier.
We started are day the Louvre.

Here is where I saw the Mona Lisa and other famous pieces. We didn't stay long because it was crowded, but we accomplished what we felt were the important things to see.

After the Louvre we walked to a museum where we were told we would get free student entrance. But it didn't work out so we moved on. Luckily it was in a beautiful garden so all wasn't lost.

Following that we all went to the Eiffel Tower once more to experience or in day light. It was just as beautiful in the day as at night!

Then we found lunch and headed to the Arch de Triumph where we took pictures then explored the shopping district of Champ Élysées.
While in the shopping district we came across street performers! They were wonderful. We stayed and watch for quite some time.

Our last stop was Montmartre which has a great view of Paris.

We saw a street performer there too who was great with a soccer ball (futbol  here).

Then finally after all of this we headed home.

During the day I found myself some souvenirs to bring home to remember my trip.

I had such an amazing time today! I still can't believe I'm here in Paris! Unreal!!!

Bonjour Paris!

Today we left Amsterdam on bus of course and headed toward Paris. During the bus ride I kept thinking how about how unreal it was that I was long to be in PARIS! When we got closer I could no longer nap I was far to excited.

We finally got to are hotel (which was practically in the ghetto) and then were off on a tour given by the GLS Paris leader.

He took us to see a fountain in the Latin district and showed us around.

We ended at Notre Dame where we took pictures and  went to see the inside of the church. After that we did dinner in the area.

That's not all we did though! After dinner we made our way to the Eiffel Tower to see it at night. It was amazing! We waited until 11PM for the light show it gives off. It was absolutely breath taking!

I feel so grateful and eased to have seen the Eiffel Tower in Paris at night. It was amazing!

Amsterdam!!!!

Today we are in Amsterdam.

We woke up and as a group made our way into town to a local art museum. We were supposed to go to the van Gough museum but I don't feel like that much was lost on the last minute change.

We saw very interesting pieces as well and artifacts from the past.

After the museum we made our way to the flower market. Amsterdam is famous for their tulips and other flowers. I almost bought bulbs but I didn't think I would have room in my suitcase so thought better of it.

Then it was lunch time so I ordered a Dutch classic, porfrjiches the Dutch pancake.

Finally it was time for something I have really been looking forward to! The tour of the Anne Frank House, which is where Anne and her family hid during WWII.

We weren't allowed to take pictures but the experience was still worth every penny. We got to see the places that Anne talked about in her journal and see the bookshelf the door was hidden behind. We also got to see the original journal Anne wrote in.

It was such an amazing experience. I wouldn't trade it in for anything.

After that it started to rain so we escaped into a restaurant called Sara's Pancake House. I again had the Dutch pancake with some tea, I just couldn't say no.

We browsed some shops then made our way back to the hotel grabbing some fast food on the way.

Today was such a great day! I feel like we accomplished and experienced so much in such a small amount of time. And tomorrow is Paris! I feel so blessed!
